Meet Michael – Owner
Michael is a 7th-generation Floridian, lifelong boater, and owner of Next Level Marine.
Â
After graduating from Palmetto High School in 2007, he earned his Captain's License, Commercial Fishing License, and Marine Technologies education through Manatee Technical College.
Â
Following his training, Michael worked as a marine mechanic at a local marina before founding Next Level Marine in 2010. Over the last 15+ years, he has built a reputation throughout Manatee and Sarasota Counties for dependable service, honest communication, and quality workmanship.
Â
Today, Michael serves as the Owner, Operator, and Lead Technician, managing everything from diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance to ECU removal, installation, testing, customer service, and scheduling. His expertise covers both modern and legacy outboard engines, marine electrical systems, and onboard electronics.

When he's not helping customers, Michael enjoys fishing, hunting, coaching youth baseball, and spending time with his wife Ashley and their three children.

Meet Ashley – CEO
Ashley has been an essential part of Next Level Marine's growth. Originally from Mississippi, she moved to Florida in 2010 and quickly developed a strong connection to the local community.

As CEO, Ashley oversees day-to-day operations behind the scenes, managing client communications, invoicing, marketing, programming & shipping ECUs for supported outboards, branding, parts ordering, and business development, as well as overall vision for the company. Her organization, creativity, and customer-focused approach help ensure every aspect of the company runs smoothly and efficiently.

Beyond her role at Next Level Marine, Ashley is a devoted wife and mother of three who remains passionate about family, community involvement, and helping the company continue to grow.

Caleb is a Florida native and second-generation captain with thousands of hours of boating experience.
Â
Before joining Next Level Marine, he worked with a marine towing company where he gained valuable experience assisting boaters and troubleshooting issues on the water.
Â
Currently training under Michael, Caleb specializes in diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs while continuing to expand his technical knowledge. Known for his attention to detail, professionalism, and strong work ethic, he treats every customer's boat as if it were his own.

Michael graduated from Palmetto High School in 2007 and went on to study Marine Service Technologies at Manatee Technical College (MTC, formerly MTI). During his training, he earned his U.S. Coast Guard Commercial Fishing & Captain License and gained hands-on experience in the marine industry.

In 2010, he left the local marina and began taking on marine repair work independently for friends, family, and local boat owners.
What started as a passion project quickly grew through word-of-mouth referrals and repeat customers.

As demand increased, so did the reputation of the business. Through honest communication, dependable service, and quality workmanship, Next Level Marine became a trusted name among local boat owners.

After years of steady growth, Next Level Marine officially became an LLC in 2019, marking a major step toward building a long-term marine service company.
With the business officially established, Next Level Marine continued to grow while staying committed to the same values that built the company from the beginning.

Our mobile service model allowed us to bring professional marine repair directly to customers throughout the region. During these years, we expanded our capabilities, strengthened relationships throughout the boating community, and continued building a reputation for dependable service.

By 2025, Next Level Marine had grown into a trusted local marine service business with a strong foundation for the future.
2026 became a year of major growth and new opportunities for Next Level Marine.

We expanded our partnerships with local marinas, dock owners, other marine businesses, and community organizations while continuing to grow our team and service capabilities. We also purchased our first company truck as the business reached new milestones.

That summer, Next Level Marine became an Authorized Outboard EFI Dealer, expanding beyond traditional repairs to offer professional ECU tuning, flashing, diagnostics, and performance solutions for compatible outboard engines.

This new chapter represents our continued commitment to investing in technology, expanding our expertise, and taking marine service to the next level.
